Daniel has other significant experience in interim applications; Consultant trained by scMA in mediation; and the preparation of expert opinions for foreign courts. He is also registered as a public access practitioner who is qualified to accept direct instructions from companies and in-house legal departments. After being called to the bar, Karen practiced in Twenty Essex, where she opened a business law firm. She then worked at the Practical Law Company (PLC), where she established and led practical law arbitration before returning to the bar. At PLC, Karen wrote and developed up-to-date advice and knowledge of all legal and practical aspects of English and international arbitration, including arbitration in commercial and investment contracts. Following Thomson Reuters` acquisition of PLC, she was appointed Head of Current Awareness and was responsible for updates published in Lawtel, Westlaw and Practical Law. Karen returned in 2016 to resume her practice at Twenty Essex. Their work covers a range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, science, technology and computing, distribution, shipping, raw materials, shipbuilding and energy.
